These thumbprint cookies are so tasty!
I used ground walnuts in the mix and topped them....
with my homemade Olallieberry Jam. (It came with us when we moved back to TX, from CA.) I think this is my very last jar. It is so good, a mix between a raspberry and blackbery. I will miss you Olallieberry...
Before baking my thumbprints looked quite round.
They spread out after baking. I sprinkled them with powered sugar and placed a dollop of warm jam in the center.
If you want the recipe you can find it in her cook book or you can check out the Ugly Dude Food now, he picked out the recipe for this week. Feel free to check out all the other bakers on the TWD Blogroll!
Blessings, Rachel

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to say thanks for the comment on my post about my son! Believe me I still hug him..he has actully come around the last week! It's amazing what prayer can do! Bless you too!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to TWD! It's the best baking group online, and I'm only a little biased. :) And Olalliberries, yum! Whenever I'm up in Northern CA I have to have some olalliberry pie--even if I can't spell it and can barely pronounce it. :)
ReplyDeleteI have never heard of Olalliberries! These look marvelous :)
ReplyDeleteWow, Ollaliberries (have I spelt them right?) sound like something Noddy and friends would look for. They sound delicious, as do the cookies. You have a fab gift for baking. Yum.
ReplyDeleteWelcome (albeit a little late) to the group. Your cookies look great! I looked at some of your cakes...you do fabulous work! Just gorgeous, and I should know because I also decorate cakes. :)
